Privacy Policy

How Palm Beach Academy of Sports and Arts handles information collected through this website.

Last updated: August 28, 2026

Overview

Palm Beach Academy of Sports and Arts ("PBASA", "we", "our") operates this website at pbasa.org to share information about our tuition-free K-8 public charter school with families, staff, and community partners. We respect the privacy of everyone who visits, and we keep the amount of information we collect as small as possible. This policy explains what happens with information related to this website. It does not describe student records held by the school, which are governed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and applicable Florida law.

Information we collect

This website does not host its own accounts, logins, or on-page forms, and it does not sell any information. We collect information in only two ways:

  • Information you send us. If you email contact@pbasa.org or employment@pbasa.org, we receive whatever you choose to include, such as your name, email address, phone number, and the details of your question or application.
  • Basic technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server information, such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and time of request, in order to serve pages, protect the site from abuse, and understand aggregate traffic levels.

How we use information

We use what you send us to answer your question, process an employment inquiry, follow up on a pre-enrollment interest, or coordinate a sponsorship. We use technical data only to operate and secure the website. We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.

Third-party services

Some features link to services operated by other organizations, and their own privacy policies apply once you leave this site:

  • Netlify hosts this website and processes standard server logs.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces used in our design.
  • Google Forms hosts our pre-enrollment form and receives the information you submit there.
  • GoFundMe processes donations made through our fundraising page.
  • Google Docs and BoardDocs host certain public documents, such as the school calendar.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies of its own and does not track visitors across other sites. Embedded or linked third-party services may set their own cookies when you use them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time without losing access to the content on this site.

Children's privacy

This website is written for parents, guardians, prospective staff, and community members rather than for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. Student information collected as part of enrollment or attendance is handled by the school under FERPA and Florida student-records requirements, not through this website.

Retention and security

We keep email correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and to meet public-records and recordkeeping obligations that apply to Florida charter schools. The site is served over HTTPS, and access to our email accounts is limited to authorized staff.

Your choices

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal retention requirements. Email contact@pbasa.org and we will respond as promptly as we can.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and revise the date above. Significant changes will also be noted on our homepage.
